Career & Technical Education Month

The career and technical schools of Bucks and Montgomery Counties are NOT your parents’ tech schools. Students can explore different careers from traditional programs like welding and cosmetology to the unexpected like robotics and cyber security. Our students develop astonishing skills and work with leading-edge technology. Graduates are workforce-ready, or prepared to continue with postsecondary education, or both.

We created a new video to highlight the amazing things happening in our career & technical schools. Check it out!

The purpose of Career & Technical Education Month is to raise awareness of the role that CTE has in readying learners for college and career success. CTE Month is also a time to recognize and celebrate the achievements and accomplishments of our CTE partners at the local, state and national level.

The Benefits of Career and Technical Education

A career and technology based education will help your child to be more than just an average student. Career and technology education can give your child what’s needed to succeed for life: technical skills, academic skills and employability skills. In addition, career and technical education helps students see how what they’re learning applies to the needs of employers.

Regardless of whether students are headed for college or the workforce, this type of education will help them prepare for the future. In fact, college-bound students can get job experiences to help them define their career plans, identify an appropriate course of study and help pay for tuition.
