#TeacherTuesday: Aliza Herman

Aliza Herman, an artist and art educator working as an educational assistant, is this week’s #TeacherTuesday. She provides support for students with autism at Upper Dublin High School.

Says Aliza, “My belief is that inclusion in public schools is super important, creating awesome opportunities for both special education students, as well as the entire school community. These inclusive opportunities lead to amazing outcomes!”

This passionate teacher has supported several students during their high school education, and this past year had the opportunity to guide a senior in the autistic support program, through the introduction to fine arts with Lynne Pribis. Here’s the self-portrait with the artist, Jack, along with Aliza and her son, Sam, at the UDHS Allied Arts Show this past spring. Aliza notes, “I couldn’t be prouder of Jack!!!”
