#TeacherTuesday: Christie Besack

Today’s #TeacherTuesday, Christie Besack, is an active Central Bucks Education Association member who embodies kindness. “Although I formally teach AP Psychology at Central Bucks High School West, what I really hope to teach my students is grit, work ethic and the ability to overcome obstacles no matter WHAT the content or material.”

She adds, “I almost always infuse my lessons with physical or play based activities, humor or life lessons that relate back to our challenging content. By involving my students in interactive activities, we approach the material from different points of view and at different levels.”

“I want them to leave my classroom more curious and engaged than before they entered,” she notes. “My hope is that they are motivated to see life through different perspectives and feel empowered to make the world a better place in their own individual ways.”

Tell us who other educators motivate students beyond their subject matter, and we’ll feature them in an upcoming #TeacherTuesday.
