This week’s #TeacherTuesday is the first of two posts that spotlight the dynamic mother-daughter duo of Marie and Danielle Udis, who sometimes work together as they bring cutting-edge learning tools to the classroom. Marie is a fifth grade Rolling Hills Elementary School teacher in Council Rock School District, and Danielle serves as an elementary technology integration specialist for the district.
Says Marie, “Technology is constantly changing and it’s important that we, as teachers, keep current with best practices to help our students succeed in the 21st century classroom. While co-teaching with Danielle, we have been exploring new and exciting teaching practices and encouraging students to take risks, while also modeling computational thinking skills. My students and I are enjoying using our new Chromebooks as a supportive tool to enhance learning! Seeing the ‘light bulb’ turn on in my students’ minds is one of the most rewarding aspects of being a teacher.”
We’ll bring you Danielle’s perspective next week, but in the meantime, we’d love to hear about ways you use technology to enhance learning in your classroom!
