You know you’re doing something right when students ask for a Book Day instead of extra recess or a video as the prize for doing good deeds. Erin Corrigan is the second-grade teacher who inspires her students’ love of learning every day at Linden Elementary School in Central Bucks School District.
Passionate about her profession, here’s what Erin had to say: “What makes public education great is that in our country, ALL children are able to access education for free, regardless of circumstance or ability, which is not true in many places around the world. Teachers across the U.S. strive every day to provide what each individual student needs in order to become a successful, confident, and productive member of our society.”
She adds, “Although as a country we still have work to do to ensure safe, equitable, quality programs in all schools, I feel fortunate to work in a profession of such great importance.”
