#TeacherTuesday: Matthew Hayden

Robotics Classes Excite Students of Armstrong Middle School

Today’s #TeacherTuesday, Matthew Hayden was inspired by his mother whose “love of children and pride in their accomplishments was infectious.” This automation and robotics teacher is a member of the Bristol Township Education Association and shares his passion for all things techy with the lucky seventh and eighth graders of the Neil A Armstrong Middle School. He says, “In our school, students get a wonderful balance of freedom and responsibility. They are encouraged to build, create and take risks.” And he adds, “Much of our curriculum focuses on the development of tools and ideas that help people. On the first day of class, our seventh-grade design and modeling students build orthosis for children with cerebral palsy.”We suspect the famed astronaut would love what’s happening in the school named after him! Tell us who else brings their passion and purpose to work every day and we’ll feature them in an upcoming #TeacherTuesday profile.

On the first day of class, our seventh-grade design and modeling students build orthosis for children with cerebral palsy.”

We suspect the famed astronaut would love what’s happening in the school named after him! Tell us who else brings their passion and purpose to work every day and we’ll feature them in an upcoming #TeacherTuesday profile.
