Nicole Belick Kratz, this week’s #TeacherTuesday, has an opportunity to teach her students cooking skills that they will use throughout their lifetime. Her work as a Family and Consumer Sciences teacher at Newtown Middle School, “brightens my day.” Nicole is a proud member of the Council Rock Education Association.Nicole says, “Having these experiences and being able to lead students through hands-on activities gives them knowledge that they can only get by taking Family and Consumer Sciences, such as making homemade ice cream on Valentine’s Day!” And she adds, “Breaking barriers in the classroom and beyond in prepping students for the 21st century is why I became a teacher.”Tell us what other educators are sharing important practical and life lessons and we’ll profile them in an upcoming #TeacherTuesday.
