Stef Thomas, an Elementary Visual Arts teacher at Pine Run and Titus Elementary Schools, in Central Bucks School District, is the focus of this week’s #TeacherTuesday. Stef always wanted to be the person who inspired others and was hooked 23 years ago when she first “saw the light in a child’s eye, the glow of new knowledge and creative thought.”
Her energetic and enthusiastic approach is contagious. She notes, “Public education — the teaching of children — is the single most important and meaningful vocation there is. It is often frustrating and humbling and inspiring and exhausting and rewarding and beautiful and terrifying and amazing and above all NECESSARY. Particularly for the NECESSITY of the visual arts in education which is the amalgam of all learning in one wonderful, exciting, creative place.”
Hats off to this wonderful educator and the students who are lucky enough to have her as their teacher.
