This week, we’re delighted to feature Zachary Laurie as our #TeacherTuesday. An educator at the Brooke Elementary School in the Spring-Ford Area School District, he teaches a phenomenal new computer-based class called Ram QUEST, an acronym for Questioning, Understanding, Exploring, Searching, and Teaming. This hands-on computer application exposes his elementary students to cyber safety, coding, engineering, math and science, with the curriculum expanding all the way through high school.
“In my classroom, students get a chance to be scientists and engineers,” says Zach. My QUEST classroom allows the children to dive into their learning using a hands-on learning lab approach. We work through challenging problems and we never give up. Difficult problems help us become better thinkers and reach toward excellence.”
Zach’s approach inspires the next generation of #STEM professionals. We applaud him and the school district for making crucial learning come alive for today’s students.
